I am so furious right now. I haven't been this enraged in a long time. To sum up why as quickly as possible, last January the Robotics Club and my lab decided to sponsor a senior design group to build a new ground vehicle platform. It had a few basic requirements, but essentially need to have four wheels, spin in place, drive forward/backwards,

But I was becoming so much more laid back, etc. I totally dicked them over in front of everyone and their professor, and they totally deserved it. At one point during their presentation they tried to claim they achieved a primary requirement because the vehicle could not drive past 5 MPH. In reality the requirement was that the vehicle drive at several velocities in the range of [-5,5] MPH. I called them out on this, asking if they even did any calculations beforehand to see what speeds the vehicle could theoretically do, which is what you do when DESIGNING something. They had no answer because they didn't do it, they had no clue as to what speed the thing should have done. I hope they fucking fail, and I will do all I can to make sure they fucking do. At least one of them should die from falling down some stairs and breaking his head open or something. The one guy in the group is the first person to ever be banned from coming to our lab, that's pretty fucking pathetic.
