Hey there... I'm assuming it's all right to drop commentary re: Library Mofo here, since I couldn't find any other means of contacting you.
While I can appreciate that L_M has a broad mandate to comment about mofory and discussion thereupon, I'm finding posts like this one to be pushing the envelope. While it's great that she's using the community as a means to diffuse frustration with the problem patrons she encounters, creating a poll to determine some kind of "mofo naming convention" is just silly and borders on the spammy. There are tons of posts ( hers included--and that was posted a little over a day before the poll went up) where it would be perfectly acceptable and on-topic to have this discussion. To me, it seems like she's just posting for the sake of posting a poll, which would be fine in a personal LJ, but in a community watched by nearly 1000 people, is a tad less acceptable

I realize this is over a year old -- it must have slipped past me somehow. Feel free to contact me here with your concerns. And what happens at SLWSM simply means, if you notice a co-worker on here, don't rat him out to your boss.
Thanks for the message -- LJ spontaneously stopped sending me the membership requests, and thankfully you alerted me to that. You should be a member now.
Hello, you don't know me but I am on the mofo community. And I love your writing. Plus I really really REALLY want an Empress on my flist. Especially an Empress from Jersey!
So I am going to add you even though I am not on your list, and should you decide to permit me access, I will be delighted. Thank you!
seems entirely off topic. if this type of post is ok, perhaps a clarification to the community is in order, since other folks have commented on the post itself that it seems out of place.
Thanks for letting me know. It was completely inappropriate and I have deleted it. I really rely on dedicated members to keep me in the loop when I miss something like this, so thank you!
