I have been working hard in transforming S.P.E.W. from an amateur society into a professionally managed organisation. I am in the midst of producing a website so that members can easily access any information they need. It's my birthday today.

No one is awake.

I got a card from my parents. They said I am too old for presents.

I have a lot of work to do. I shall go and do it.

I thought it best, on my return home last summer, to fill in my parents on Death Eaters, The Dark Lord, dementors and the events of the previous five years. Not in any great deatil, of course, but just enough for them to know the basics. I had to supervise a certain Miss Hurst in her detention yesterday. Professor McGonagall requested that she serve it under my eye but did not specify what the detention was to be.
