Lashon Ha-Ra: Creative and Destructive Uses of Language
We will begin with readings of a few biblical texts, then move to looking at excerpts from the classical text on Lashon Ha-Ra by the Chafetz Chaim, and finally turn our discussion to contemplative reflection, thinking about the ways we use language and the effect our
language has on ourselves and on the world. Prepare to be challenged and possibly even transformed.
