Now, if we can get some change that matters instead of more of what we've been through th elast 8 years... it truly WILL be a time in history worth living.

That was very well-said, my friend. I'm very proud of you for being open minded, knowing what I do about your beliefs.

And you it upon just what is historic about today. The 44th peaceful transfer of power with no riots in the streets or amny violence at all. We underesitmate just how important and unusual such a transfer of power really is.

I am glad that we have a new President, his speech made my eyes bleed, but that is the consequence of loosing elections.

I am so tired of partisan politics. I firmly believe in my country and my elected leaders. Did I like the way that people (read democrats) spoke of W no. Am I happy with the way people (read republicans) speak now of Obama No. I listened to some of the local political pundits on the radio yesterday and all I heard was venom.

People need to remember we are not Republicans or Democrats but Americans. It is time to start to leave rhetoric behind and buckle down and kick the country's ass back into what we are. It is going to take both blue's and red's to make this country work.

I go back to what I believe Lincoln said. A house divided upon itself will fall.

Again, I have to go with well said. I hope that your sentiment here is shared by more than it has been in the past, and that the change you mention is the one that comes to pass.

Um... unrelated but you know the laptop bag you left at the 'rents? I ganked it. And the backpack? Ganked too...but figured you might want the contents back since they are like checkbooks and shit. You can have the bags back if you really want...but...I am holding them ransom....for one night of hanging with my bro!
