I checked them out recently because several people on LJ had mentioned how good they were. However, those same people seem to confuse "enjoying good music" with "listening exclusively to obscure indie rock bands no matter how badly they suck in order to maintain a high quotient of 'Bands You Haven't Heard Of'". They seem to have based their entire lifestyle around maintaining this image and being Trendier Than YouTM, which I find to be very shallow and annoying.
.....Um, sorry about all that. I just moved from a town where people like that composed 90% of The Scene. The experience has left me bitter and jaded. *takes another gulp of beer*.

everyone likes to stroke their indie cock by namedropping bands. i'm guilty of it myself sometimes, i'm sure. i for one hate all 'scene' kids because when i go to a show it's because i've scheduled the day off two weeks in advance and/or driven five hours in order to see the band i want to see. i'm not there for the fashion show. also if you are still in nc and live near raleigh there's a show you should check out, coming up soon.
