The Beginning, The End
by; Mack

At Hogwarts they were rivals, two bitter enemies fighting against each other if only to follow hundreds of years of family tradition. They would fight, scream and insult each other, making sure that whatever they said was bound to hurt them. They didn’t like each other, and they never would.

Then the war happened and they were allies. They fought on the same side, for the same ideals. They still fought each other, they still insulted each other, but it wasn’t the same, it was a habit rather than the overwhelming urge to hurt each other, in any way possible.

After the war they were both recruited. One was a seeker, and the other was a keeper. They were both good at what they did, and they no longer insulted each other, after all teammates don’t insult each other. They ignored each other, preferring to remain silent around each other.

They were friends. They began to talk and found that they had a few things in common, not as much as they did with others, but it was enough. It was enough to begin a new friendship, ending the hundreds of years of enmity their families had been engaged in.

They were lovers. It began as a drunken kiss, a dare, and then it escalated from late night fucks, to kisses in the daylight. They dated, they loved. They moved in tandem with each other sliding and gasping, fingers moving over those spots only a lover knew and would exploit.

They were husbands, bound together in holy matrimony, till death do them part. They kissed each other, and they loved each other, choosing to stay inside, never exploring anything else but each other. They missed the festivals, and the plays, but they loved each other until the sun rose high.

They were fathers, both of them staring at the blue eyed fair haired daughter, and the red haired gray eyed son held in their arms. Two of them at once, it ran in the family. They watched the children grow, love others, get married with grandchildren they chose to spoil.

They passed away, the first died peacefully in bed one night, a smile on his face holding his husband, his heart strong but tired. The other passed, the next night a smile on his face and tears on his cheeks his heart broken but mending. They were buried together forever.
