Someone's in trouble...

[time: Tuesday, evening]

*Red Alert waited until Hound was taken care of and First Aid had a chance to fix Ratchet's hands before acting*

*comm* First Aid. You have violated a direct order and deliberately breached security protocols. Again. In light of the current state of affairs, I'm not going to have you thrown in the brig, but you will return to ( Read more... )

*Blinks at the comm and frowns behind his mask. He hadn't done anything wrong at all. He needed the tools and so got them.*

With all due respect, sir, I decline. I acted to save a patient's life. I have full rights to anything within the Med Bay as per Ratchet. I will not go.

No, actually, you only have access to the common supplies and anything given to you directly by a supervising officer. And the fact that you utilized Wheeljack's security codes instead of asking Ratchet for his tells me that you knew it was wrong when you did it. You're confined to quarters, First Aid. You will obey, or I will have you dragged to your quarters - or to the brig, either way.

I did it to save a mech's life. I'm sorry that you prefer I waste time getting clearance for the same result, but Hound couldn't have waited. I am needed here in the Med Bay, and I will not go.

You're not needed anywhere. In fact, you're not even on duty. And how does reading clearance codes off a datapad take less time than having Ratchet say them out loud? But if you're going to be a stubborn idiot, fine.

*comms Inferno* Inferno, would you please escort First Aid back to his quarters? Carry him if you have to, just get him there. If he gives you any trouble, take him down to the brig instead.

*sigh* I rather feared that. He has no reasonable excuse for refusing; the repairs on Hound are complete and Ratchet is available to keep an optic on him. Arrest him and take him to the brig by force if you have to.

Red.. I'm fightin' a losing battle here. I got Silverbolt quoting regulations at me an' going on about signed datapads from Prowl or Jazz. He don't wanna let me pass.

*Getting no reply heads out in search of First Aid but decides to stop in at the Security office first since it's on the way to med bay. Thumping the doorchime.*

Open up Red.

What's all this about violating direct orders and confining 'Aid ta quarters? Ya do know Ratch was injured don't ya?

*not looking up* There was nothing wrong with his voice. First Aid knew what he was doing violated his security clearance when he did it, and following the correct protocol - which would be reminding Ratchet that he couldn't unlock the case - would not have slowed them down any significant amount. As such, I ordered his being confined to quarters as punishment.

Unfortunately, Silverbolt disapproves of that, and thus, I'm forced to take action on the record instead. First Aid is being brought up on formal charges.
