It's kind of embarrassing actually. ... See ... uhm ... Okay, well here it is. I nearly ran over some dumb human kids.

*Smokescreen paused for a moment before continuing quickly*

It's not as bad as it sounds. The kids are fine, at least I think they are. See they were on these cart things and they'd tied themselves to the back of a truck - you know one of those big double long Peterbilt deals? Anyway, I may have possibly been driving a tad too fast, and I never saw the kids and I sure as slag wasn't scanning for them. The next thing I know, I get hit with the low pressure from the truck and the kids roll out right in front of me ... and next thing I know I'm getting real friendly with a ... I think it's a cactus ...

Too much, like usual, man.

First off, Mirage just commed me - he was checkin' out the police band and got a hit on a rally car meetin' Smokey's description on I-95 right 'round Nellis Air Force Base.

Second, the intel we got... well, it's better 'n' nothin' I guess. We were askin' First Aid where he mighta got the info on where Steeljaw was bein' held? Well, he din' wanna tell us, but his reaction when we mentioned Smokescreen kinda told us anyway.

Question is, where the Pit would Smokey have gotten it. An' I gotta wonder if it's got anything t' do with what's goin' on now. *ironic tone - of course it has something to do with Smokescreen's sudden absence.*

Mind heading over to the armory and check the cameras inside? *wry* Mirage went in, and mysteriously never showed on the camera inside. *snort* Either he's passed out just underneath the camera, or someone's been screwing with my security system again.

I'll let you know what I find. *pulls his head out of the office before stepping into the doorway as a though occurs to him* Um if he has passed out who's around down there that I could recruit into hauling him to Ratchet, he's a bit big for me to tote around.
