Guess this is another indicator of the lousy job market...

I went to usajobs.gov today in an attempt to gauge federal hiring and look to see if there's anything I might be interested in. There was an error message...

"We are currently updating the site to introduce new functionality and better serve your needs. Due to this scheduled upgrade, the site will be unavailable from 12:00 a.m. EDT until 10:30 a.m. ( Read more... )

That's so sneaky of them! I will try IE, thanks.

If it's my location that's the problem, then I may be screwed - the university network prevents bittorrenting, Hotspot Shield, and online game playing. It's pretty much illegal to have fun here.

Awesome - IE solved the problem. US government just doesn't know a superior browser when it sees one ;).

Nope, I lie again. It works now for Firefox as well. I guess they just don't like to edit their maintenance messages more than biyearly...

Yeah, I guess it was just a momentary glitch - it works now with either browser. I guess they didn't have time to edit their maintenance message ;).
