One where I was ranting about an ex-friend of husband's who openly refused to visit us (whom you know well) b/c of where we live but had no problem w/US spending our money (and this entry was written last summer or fall). I have a general problem w/LI people who were friends w/my husband pulling "out of sight, out of mind" when they live a HELL of a lot closer to us than people who pulled the same thing on me. The distance b/t LI & NYC is about the same as that from Winston to Charlotte & I know lots of people in that area who make that trip on occasion--WITHOUT the benefit of a train, I might add. I also don't take kindly to people who make me think they'd dictate where my husband's funeral will be if he died before me (saying "I won't go to one in the city the person wanted it" is dictatorial in MY book).
I suspect the baby might have been someone you & your wife have had issues with (if you need more info, ask Mr. Husband).
