 Yeah, well..

Umm been quite busy. Two weeks work exp followed by two weeks at work, with a weekend in Wales between. Then off for another two weeks on a dairy farm!

I worked with horses and cats and dogs, at a stables and the RSPCA respectively. I learnt much about horses, though was annoyed they didn't let me ride on one.. after I worked so hard for the week! :(

And the RSPCA: lots of fluffy kitties and baby bunnies that were just the cutest things. And was amazed at how quick the turnover is: two weeks for most animals for finding a new home! There were some sad cases, like a mummy and baby kittens being dumped in a suitcase in the park, and an ickle black kitten found in a bin bag :( ... but they all got homes. :) And the mummy cat was the only one I really, really wanted to take home. She was just the sweetest cat.. I also tamed my slight fear of staffies, as there were some absolute sweethearts of staffs there.

Wales: Went up to the cottage we have near Machynlleth. It has running water now! (after 15 yrs, yes really..) The weather was good on the Friday when we went up, though cloudy for the rest of it. I got sunburnt :P

Dad wanted to take us up due to the date: 6th August, being the 1 yr anniversary of mummy's death. So we had a nice family dinner. I mean I was going to post something on FB about it, but I'm not really into the whole 'RIP Mummy' being put in the public domain.. so I didn't, and we just remembered her for that day. Especially as it was Wales and the cottage which I know she loved in the part of the country she really loved. She always said that West Wales reminded her of Gil Galad in Lindon looking West over the sea.

Here is a nice picture I took of Borth:

And this is me trying to do an 'arty' shot:

Other than that: RE the riots: I'm safe don't worry. I can't go and get paracetamol though because they've shut up shops on the Stratford Rd and I have a blinking headache: I mean unless they want to steal mendhi or a washing machine there's really not much to loot round here.. Oh and had to leave work early as Touchwood was locked down and police were prowling everywhere and stopping anything in hoodie.. as long as it all clears up by the weekend so I can get on a train to see the bf and then go live on a dairy farm for two weeks I'm happy.

Also: Hearing that the riots started because the 'youth' having nothing to do and are basically bored: umm,  was unemployed for six months and did I raid a PC world? I read A LOT, learned to crochet and embroider and tried to get the house in order. My brother who is also 'bored' at least tries and helps out with the local Rangers helping to tidy up the River Cole and plays his guitar. There *is* something to do: as my Headmistress (who was rather old fashioned).. said 'A bored person leads a boring life'.
And it pains me to see the young of today (of which I count myself) so stupid and misguided. I mean yes, the Government(s) have slightly f**ked up our futures, we won't have cheap education or libraries or a pension.. but hey, this isn't the answer guys...there is still plenty good about our country.
