This plan was not well thought out.
So, I packed ONLY my little knitted headband as a carry-along project today so I'd have a better chance of finishing it (no distractions) and I've been knitting my little fingers off getting it finished before the Scavenger Hunt deadline this afternoon. I've done so, it's finished, all my photos are submitted and, in case anyone ever wants to know

But I've been left sans book before, so I know the feeling. Mental "discussion items" sometimes help - designing a dream government in your head, using only politicians who are or were alive during your own lifetime, planning how to best to use millions in lottery winnings to Save the World, planning survival strategies for the imminent collapse of American/world civilization (due to climate change, the oil running out, massive volcanic explosions, alien invasion, whatever), designing a house for the primary benefit of the feline, rather than human, inhabitants, etc.
