... and it's mostly this week.
If you've called my house and gotten a disconnect for our phone, it's because Verizon turned off BOTH phone lines instead of one.
The problem will allegedly be fixed by noon tomorrow.

I miss the REAL AT&T, from back when I was little. If there was a problem, it was immediately fixed. The phones worked forever. (We've still got one in the attic. It's nigh-indestructible.) We haven't had a functioning monopoly since. We've got monopolies - if I don't want to deal with cable services or phone-over-'net, Verizon really is the only choice I have. It's just not a functioning monopoly.
