I soooo understand this feeling. I love seeing my madre and hanging out with her and she still very much allows me to use her as an outlet to adult frustration (not cleaning my house but making me food and cleaning up afterwards, letting me lie on her couch and whine to my hearts content). But it is also sad because because she's very alone, with huge voids in the friend and partner departments and there is nothing I can do to alleviate her loneliness. So yeah...hyper-empathetic with you on that one.
