Aimless Paragraphs

I am attempting to lesson plan for the seventh grade class I'm working with right now, and it's very difficult. I'm praying that when I have my own classroom, I'll be able to pick whatever curriculum I damn-well please, 'cause attempting to teach a text I dislike is just not fun ( Read more... )

Ooooh, no helicopter mind/control concerns for Shnickie. She's in that stupid little beach town, who cares about her. :-P

(Okay, I'm fully aware I'm moving back in summer and that's why you didn't mention me getting me there, but I'm feeling angsty)

Shes one of those odd, new connections that someone vibe with me on every level, even though we don't have the history the rest of us do. inexplicable, yet awesome threads of connection. :D

quit your bellyaching and get me a ceremony with language that you like to tell a great love story you believe in--yours.

but back to your post, learning the phrase "the beast with two backs" and a frank discussion of race were two of the best parts of reading othello in school. seeing it with james earl jones playing othello and christopher plummer playing iago when i was 20 was pretty awesome as well.
