Today had been the first (relatively) quiet day I've had since I don't remember when. As I mentioned earlier, my daughter hiked Ben Nevis mountain in Scotland on Sunday. One of the cardinal rules of hiking is to stay with your partner. Unless, apparently, you're my daughter's partner, who shortly after the hike started decided she wanted to go faster and left my daughter behind. Today my daughter climbed a mountain. Literally. I'm not sure she expected to be doing that when she signed up for the hiking club, but today they climbed Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in Scotland. I got quite a shock last night when my sister texted me to let me know that our cousin had passed away Sunday. It was a shock because neither or us even knew he was sick.
