Yes! Let's plan a lunch and/or movie date soon or something.
I'm thinking I'll probably plan to leave mid July. That's around when the woman on maternity leave should be back... and I want to be down here for my and my mom's birthdays (late june, early july). But things are still soooo up in the air... I'm not planning on anything yet 'cause everything could change before then!
Yea we should I graduate on mother's day so after that = good.
And I'm having a party May 5th in glendale (mom's house) with all my college dormmate friends etc and you are more than welcome to come too! Come see Cailey! She's so smart and big and cute and nearly 4! And I don't remember if you met the twins yet and they are at that adoreable 18months stage
My apartment building is very nice--M Section, baby! It's called Windsong, and it's got pools, workout areas, 24-7 security, garages, covered parking, and tennis courts. The apartments that join our parking lot (Emerald Point) are nice too.
Not too hip on the job front in RoPo, but give me a shout if you want to join me in the city! ;)
Hey! Good to know about the apartments. Do you find Msection to be very loud? I was kinda thinking I'd try to avoid it since it seems that's where a lot of the greek life people tend to herd and party.
I'm looking at jobs in the city as well as close to campus. What's the city like to work in? And, more importantly, how's the commute?? (traffic, parking, timing, etc.)
Never had an issue with noise. Windsong is all privately-owned apartments, so it's a pretty middle-class place. No raging keggers. ;)
SF is great to work in, especially if you're in a work-friendly neighborhood, like the Financial District (like me!). Lots of lunch spots, coffee houses, Walgreens, and other places of joy. The commute, on the other hand, is brutal. Since I'm down by the Embarcadero area of the Financial, I drive to Larkspur every morning and take the ferry. I need to be up by 4:30am and on the road by 6am to make the 7:50 boat. And sometimes that doesn't happen, and I'm stuck waiting for the 8:20! The 101 is commuting hell, but there's going to be some construction soon that should ease up things a little. Go CalTrans!
I miss you. Tons. Like you have no idea. I miss LJ too.
I hope that everything is going well with you. Even if neither of us are on LJ very much, please believe me when I say I still think of you and hope you are doing ok. ♥
