20Inspirations - Round 27

So first time at 20inspirations and they give us a texture challenge. Cheers for that. Well, this forced me to spread my wings texture wise. I never really have an idea of what textures I'm going to use before I star an icon, so this was a totally different approach, with varied results...

Gorgeous work, congrats for your first 20insp set and YAY DW! :> 2 is incredible, such vibrant greens and perfect use of painty textures ♥ I love how subtle the paintiness is in the whole row, yet still visible enough to add a textured look to them. The grunge row is fantastic as well, especially 6, the text use is amazing and so is the mutedness and lighting, and the contrast is spot on. 11 and 12 both are super pretty with again amazing lighting, and the strong vibrant colors look gorgeous. And I love the creativity of the decorative row, especially 16 (hee, love the overall idea/composition here) and 20 (wow, the whole look is just so pretty with how the text texture frames them. It definitely fits the feel of the cap and the muted coloring!).

Wow, I'll reply in order, I guess haha. Firstly, thanks, pleasure to even be in the company of such elite makers! And yes, YAY DW :P

As I said in the reply above, it means a great deal to be praised on the paint ones as that's a texture I've never really gotten on with in the past all that much. Grunge and Light tend to be my mainstays [though light gave me surprising troubles this time around!]. Extra thanks for the decorative compliments too, as they too haven't had much look in my work in the past. Perhaps I ought to thank whoever set this month's theme for forcing this on me haha!
