I really dig it. However, I think the cream on white is a little weird. Maybe gray would be a good substitute color there? Or blue, to be more patriotic. Either that or change the white rays to something else. Also the positioning of the hapsburg crest looks funny to me. I know the shape of texas makes it hard to fit it on there. What if you were to scooch it towards the epicenter of the lines, even if it was cut off a little bit by the texan border. I really like the concept though. Maybe I should get one of these bags and have you design it for me.
about the cream on white, i made that color choice and then realized that it wasn't even possible. i'm going to use a golden yellow instead, which will stand out much more.
ah man, i used that double headed eagle and completely forgot it was a hapsburg thing! haha you're the second person to point it out. i always just think of the eastern & western roman empires, but that's because i'm a medieval studies nerd. i'll try playing with the positioning of it and see how i feel.
i would be more than happy to design a bag for you if you'd like! i love this shit. :D
Oxblood and cream are about the best two colors to put together in the world.
I'd just leave it two-color and align the sunburst so it spills out of texas in the coolest way possible. The design is already pretty cool.
Also, you should save images that use a tiny color palette, like vectors, as .gifs instead of .jpgs. The file size will be much, much smaller and there will be no ugly jpg compression like there is around the eagle.
yeah, i realigned the sunburst a bit and had to change the yellow from cream to golden, because the company doesn't actually offer that shade of yellow, heh.
re: saving images, i 100% agree with you. i always save my files as .pngs or .pdfs (.gifs too) if i can; .jpgs really murder color integrity. but the company needs me to give them the file as a .jpg, and i assume that since it's a hugenormous file size (22inx10in) they'll be able to discern the finer details of the design.
i might repost this repost, or make an alternate design to consider all my options.
