This has been such a rough week! I have been really stressed out and all day I get calls from my friends in and around New Orleans telling me about what is going on. I got rid of the cable so I don't have any tv reception at all. Maybe that is a good thing! Last night I had N.O. rescue nightmares. I was being rescued and had the three dogs and they

It is really sad. Blame developers and Bush. If the shoreline wasn't overdeveloped and if Bush hadn't denied money to NOLA to help preserve the land in favor of funding Iraq, this might not have been so devastating.
Ugh, that nightmare sounds horrible. :(

It was one of the worst nightmares ever. I was thinking...Duncan is the oldest...I can't ever leave him, though. Darby would cry and freak out and is so needy. Floyd, "the baby", ugh...in the dream they were really happy and dependent on me and I was getting pressure from the rescuers to choose. I think all this came from hearing how many people left their pets behind and the stray dogs and cats swimming around not able to get onto anything :(

Yeah, to me that's even sadder than the people, because at least people can comprehend what is going on.

I have cat rescue nightmares all the time. We will be in some odd place, or I'll have to move the cats or something, and I will be trying to carry ALL FOUR of them at once. Of course, it never really works.

Everytime I move into a place, I actually plan out in my head how I can easiest get my dogs and cats out. I'm sorry to hear about that dream. It had to have been awful.

I have been thinking of you (and Michelle as well) as this has all been taking place. I can't fathom how this must be for you watching your home being destroyed. I am very glad to know that Michelle is alright..give me a call sometime.

That's the worst dream ever! You would have to smuggle Floyd out under your shirt.
What do you think is going to happen to New Orleans now? Can they rebuild all that??
