I found my original birth certificate this morning.  All that remains for me to organise my passport are photos and $208.  The photos are easy, $13 and a trip to the Post Office before Wednesday.  The $208 is the hard part.  I will have to call the Post Office and ask if they'll let the interview go ahead or will I need to reschedule when I do have ( Read more... )

A friend of mine's sister was killed yesterday in a car smash near Narromine.  Her boyfriend and the driver of the other car were also killed.  It's always horrible to hear about the death of someone related to a friend (second friend in a week), but even more so when they're taken away by someone else.  Apparently the lady in the other car caused ( Read more... )

Well, Sally is now 38 weeks pregnant, and according to the doctor, she could go into labour any day. So we're just going on like normal, but I can't help thinking every 5 minutes whether today is the day.  It's got me on the edge, I tell you ( Read more... )

I got the results from the x-ray and CT scan yesterday.  Apparently I have a disc slightly protruding onto the left S1 nerve in my lower back.  The doctor said that it was pretty much what he was expecting, given the symptoms, and that the recommended treatment is physio and stretching.  He told me that it could come good anywhere between weeks and ( Read more... )
