New phone!
I finally managed to get around to replacing that poor old miniature brick. My beloved GD92 now has no use (except as an emergency phone, but lets not get into that).

I got myself an XDA Atom. It fit the bill, nice and small and wasn't exorbitant. Not that it wasn't expensive, but not ridiculously so.

You paid $120? We spent $85 on actual seating!
I wanted the other band guys to do some music solos or something, but I don't think they're that type of showy band.

we were 10meters from the band, though. There were two pricing arrangements, 85 for seats up on the top tier, and 120 for GA and seats on the lower tier.

To be honest, Rod Laver is a good enough location that you can see the band from anywhere.
I'll be getting seats next time.

We sat in the Lower seats, second from the front in the back centre. I thought it was perfect there. It would have been nice to have been right up the front, but I think I would have just ended up in a sea of people taller than I was and unable to see everything like we did while sitting down. It would be interesting to know how different the concert was from Saturday night, coz I really enjoyed it then.

yeah, that was a problem, although fortunately geoff and I are both 6 foot 2 and greater, so we still managed a good viewpoint. I missed out on seeing Chris Martins' feet. That was about it. Everything else was visible

I purchased it for its phone capabilities, not for the PDA.
thats just a welcome bonus.

I was after a smartphone with expandable storage and preferrably a flip phone (you can see I succeeded in that aspect), running windows pocket.

Turns out the only one I could get was the mpx220, which I'd have to ebay.
Figured this was the better buy by far.

The MPX220 is riddled with issues - it's why it wasn't brought out over here. Fuck, the MPX200 was bad enough.
