A friend of mine, Weston Joslyn, approached me tonight with an idea and for once, it wasn't sex. He asked me if I was still interested in having a website and since this was an idea that I had been toying with for quite some time, I was decidedly for it. i think it's a good idea but only if you have a good way of advertising your site, otherwise it's just gonna sit there in cyberspace and be a waste of money

Jackie does have a good point. I doubt you're planning to go make business cards and worry about advertising and trying to get linked.

So the other way is to just do what you enjoy and have a site for it and hope it catches on. It isn't impossible. Rottentomatoes, myspace, ebaumsworld. Heck that's what the web is for. An idea and people coming together to enjoy and talk about it. The only sites that are ever started properly and marketed are organizations, news, teams, etc.

I'm not spewing with time either, but if we can come up with some cool ideas I would help make it to strengthen my portfolio for my own site. I'm also talking to my friend Charlie about doing one for his audio mixing career. Might as well help eachother out with the skills we amass.
