So if you haven't seen Pirates yet, go do it. It was fun as hell. Much darker then the first film, and the CGI for Davy Jones' crew was friggin' brilliant. If anyone could get me a screen cap of the final scene with jack where he's lunging into the mouth of the kraken, that'd be sweet.

Haven't seen it yet. All the showings were sold out. *argh*

But I -did- hear the CGI was incredible! Is it true the movie doesn't really "end"?

It's true. It's a cliff-hanger ending and the second half of the movie, or I guess Part III, will be out next year.

I didn't really think it was a cliff-hanger ending. It left a number of things unwrapped, but there wasn't really a great feeling of suspense. It was just like Back to the Future 2, you knew where they were headed next, and you knew important stuff had to come, but most of what was going on had gone on.

i gotta say, though the cgi was really well done, i didnt really go for the whole fish-man thing. especially old tentacle beard. but thats prolly just me
