Well, yes, Sherlock Holmes and Criminal Minds have something in common. Aside from the fact that SH is basically CM in Victorian England, the two male leads also seem to be a little bit in love with each other.
"What were you doing just now?"
Flushed, Reid said, "Thinking. Trying to make sense of the crime scenes. What Sherlock Holmes called ratiocination."
Hotcher's eyebrows went up. "Really? Is that what it's called?"
Was that sarcasm? A joke? Another sign of Hotchner's legendary missing-in-action sense of humor? It was spotted from time to time, like Bigfoot...

In the the first CM novel called Jump Cut, Reid and Hotch actually bonded over Sherlock Holmes, which was epic in itself until the Sherlock Holmes movie came out and now I want CM/SH crossover fics. Because, come on, it's meant to be!

So guess what? I skimmed CM book II Killer Profile and Hotch brought up Holmes again! (though not in the flirty way, sadly). And also, a possible H/R slashy goodness that happened for like five seconds, but the indication made up for the lack of H/R interaction in the book. Flip to page 171 and you'll see what I mean, hee.

Before we get on with Book III Finishing School, may I say that Hotch looked spectacularly hot in this week's episode? As for MGG's new and insanely cute haircut, I can't wait for the team reactions. I imagine some comments would be made and some actions taken, lol. No doubt the guy's been kidnapped twice. Just look at him!
On to the book, this one doesn't have real H/R goodness, but there are some nice (and funny) moments from the two of them. Also I liked the team dynamic in this one. BAU banters FTW!
