In 1997, an alleged liger -- a hybrid of a lion and tiger -- eluded police and their sophisticated tracking equipment that included an infrared heat-seeking camera. The animal was spotted in Sterling Heights and Warren, but was never captured.

I'm starting to think that the loose liger was just made up. Was there ever any witnesses or photos proving that thing was out there? I just remember the news showing videos of what a liger looks like.

It was actually loose right around Viktoria's house. Her dad knows the guy who "acquired" it. He was one of those guys that love exotic animals and apparently he had a lot of illegal creatures.
