A girl being crush with confederate views(which I agree with, btw) and a few bashing remarks after this girl left. Yeah, I know. I should have stopped it early on, and it wouldn't have gotten out of control. I typically try to avoid "butting-in" to a situation and force moderation onto someone. I won't try to take sides in it to be fair (since its all done anyway), I can see where both groups were coming from, but the whole thing crossed the line several times and should have been stopped. If its causing people to get hurt its a problem; no one has any more right to an opinion than anyone else. The whole he-said she-said thing and the shots fired back and forth were completely unnecessary. Like you said, I really don't think there's anything worth getting high-and-mighty about in a chatroom. It shows the maturity level (of everyone) as being awfully low, and its really all trivial later anyways. I should have stopped it, disruption like that creates nothing good

First of all, Andrew, the chat dosen't need a sole person to play babysitter. It's a group of friends, mature enough to handle themselves. It'd be different if it were a public chatroom, but it isn't. Friends should be able to discuss things, regardless of if it's politics or whatever. There's a mature way to discuss anything. Might I ask, who was getting high and mighty? Also, why is it when Liz gets upset, the maturity level of *everyone* is awfully low? Was there something immature about Bret warning Liz not to make fun of the military or he would get pissed off? Was there something wrong with stating people's opinions

You must really be stupid if you didn't think I would get pissed off. EVERYBODY knows I get heated up in things like this. When Bret said the thing about not pissing him off, I took it as a threat. And you should all know by now I don't take threats lightly.

I just hate how everybody has to fucking jump in when it was just between me and pt or whoever. Everyone says things that offend others at times, and that's life. You guys should have kept your mouths shut and just let it die, but NOOOOOOO you had to go and make a big ol fucking fuss.

You especially Chris have no room to talk about 'agreeing to disagree', because of all the people in the chat you go on and on and don't let things die until your point is proven.

And uh, no, you obviously don't know me very well, because I don't care enough about any argument enough to become hellbent on getting my point across. Again, I was the one who specifically said I didn't care to change your mind, so why would you think I gave two shits about it?

And what about comments like "Liz doesn't know squat about the rest of the world" and "Then there'd be someone who actually knows what they're talking about there" and pt always fucking jumping with a "LOL" or "no kidding" to back the rest of you up?

And if you didn't want to change my mind then why the fuck did you say anything at all? Why get involved when you weren't in the first place?
