First Meetings
The Titanic was amazing. It was huge.
"Yesung, come on. Let's go check out the ship."
"No. I'm too tired. I was up late working last night and that game today tired me out. I'm going to take a nap. I'll find you."
"Ok, don't sleep too long."
Kyuhyun left the room, shutting the door quietly behind him. He was on the Titanic. He was going to America. He made his way to the promenade deck and took out his sketch book. Now, what to draw? He looked around himself. Families looking out at the ocean, children playing. Everyday things. Kyuhyun sighed. He wanted to draw something extraordinary, something beautiful. Like that man staring out into the ocean. He was small, with dark, brown eyes. His black hair was layered over his forehead and eyes and his full, pink lips were in a smile. That was it. There was the most beautiful thing on the ship.

Sungmin hated this ship. It was a prison, that's what it was. Most of the first class passengers were so stuffy. Sungmin preferred to spend time with Leeteuk. Although, one passenger interested him. Han Heechul and his husband Geng were some of the most fascinating people on the ship. Heechul was a firecracker. He had a temper and only two men could deal with him. Once was his husband, Geng. He was the complete opposite of Heechul, patient and kind. The other was their personal servant, Siwon. A large, muscular man, with dimpled cheeks and a handsome face. Where one went, the other two were sure to be found. Sungmin was sure something was going on there, he just didn't know what.
"Sungmin, there you are."
"Leeteuk. Have you been looking for me?"
"Yes, you had me worried. You know better than to go anywhere by yourself."
"I know. I just needed some air. I'm sorry Leeteuk."
"Sungmin, there's someone staring at you."
"Where?"
"Behind us."
Sungmin turned and saw the man behind him. He was young and tall, with dark hair and full lips. He was sketching something and smiling.
"Is he drawing me?"
"I don't know."
"Leeteuk, go spend some time with your husband."
"Is that a request or an order?"
"It's an order."
As Leeteuk left, Sungmin approached the young artist.
"Excuse me, but were you drawing me?"

"Excuse me, but were you drawing me?"
Kyuhyun looked up and gasped. He was here! Crap, and it was too late to deny it.
"Yes, I was."
"May I see it?"
"Sure."
He handed over the sketchbook to the older man and watched his face for his reaction. He had worked hard on the picture. It was a charcoal picture of the man's face with the ocean in the background. It was one of his best works.
"It's amazing."
"Thank you. I'm Cho Kyuhyun."
"I'm Lee Sungmin. It's nice to meet you. Can I ask, why did you not ask me to pose for you?"
"It's stupid."
Sungmin sat beside the other man, close enough that their shoulders brushed off each other.
"Tell me."
"I don't like posed pictures. I like to capture the essence of a person and you can only see that when they are being themselves and doing something they enjoy. I told you it's stupid."
"That's not stupid Kyuhyun. Can I keep this?"
"Of course you can."
He tore out the picture and handed it to Sungmin.
"Kyuhyun, I want to get to know you better. You're about the nicest thing I've seen on this ship so far. Meet me here tomorrow at midday. Please?"
"Of course."
They stood to go their separate ways. Kyuhyun held out his hand for Sungmin to shake. As they shook hands, they both felt a spark that traveled up their arms. Sungmin jumped back and stuttering through his goodbye, he ran into the first class area. Kyuhyun stared after him, a blush staining his cheeks, unaware of the dark eyes that watched him.
