FINALLY the writers have stopped telling us what we should be concerned about ad nauseum and have FINALLY showed us The Story.
I can see this. So much talk about the Mark, but nothing really happening (well, except Dean going all slice-and-dice on Randy and the goons). And this ep, Cas looked more like S4!Cas than a semi-human comic relief. Which is awesome. :D

Yes, that was notable. I guess I've been slowly desensitized to the whole Mark story as I feel like it's been rolled out so slowly (and probably because I don't trust the writers), so that slice-and-dice didn't have as much of an impact on me as it would have otherwise. But I did think it was played well and JA has done an excellent job showing all aspects of Dean, brave!face masking scared-out-of-my-gourd!Dean, I-just-want-to-work/denial!Dean, vulnerable/desperate!Dean. I'm liking JP's stoic, determined Sam, too.
