i think that it is great to start feeling comfortable to speak about your paths to others. however, is there an actual reason behind making it public at work? while i am not in the closet and haven't been in years, i also don't openly discuss it in situations or at times that i feel it isn't their business or for whatever reason i don't think it is appropriate. however, i never lie about being Wiccan when someone asks in any given situation. i'm glad you feel better, today :)
I'm not trying to "advertise" it or anything. My department is very tightly knit. Meaning, there are ten of us that have to spend more time with each other than we do our own families. Their naivety about my spirituality has been killing me for the last two years. Ya see, they are a bunch of hunters-rednecks. Most of them have no respect for our furry friends. They have a tendancy to brag about the terrible things that they have done. Granted, this is a typical southern Christian perspective of the world around them. This is what I have to hear everyday. I courteously respect their beliefs, taking care not to say anything offensive to their beliefs. It would be nice to get a little of that in return. They already know that I am not of their religion. It is hard to hide after awhile. Curiosity is killing them, and that will do nothing but make life harder on me. My boss and foreman asked me to please share about myself so that everyone else could accomodate me, awhile back. And like I said, I really didn't plan anything, it just
