I had a wild experience today, so to save me the typing, I once again pasted from my local community.
Well folks, please send your praises to the Great Divine. I
don't know which Goddess or God was with me this afternoon, but the
odds are, I should be dead. No joke at all.
It could have happened to anybody. The guy that was running the
backhoe is a very good operator and if he had not screamed I would
have never known otherwise. I had my back turned, digging up a gas
line, and I knew that he was pulling up behind me to start digging.
It's an everyday thing ya know. What I didn't know was that the
tractor had gotten caught in reverse somehow. When he screamed at me
I caught the scene outta the corner of my eye, and moved faster than
I have ever moved, I think. I scrambled on elbows and knees for ten
or fifteen feet and somehow rolled up and out of the way. I'm
scraped up a little but as far as I can tell, that's all. My pager
got busted. I have no idea how that happened.
I think Brandon, the operator, was more scared than I was, and I
thank him for yelling at me. I have been very calm since it
happened. I guess what I have learned is that you have to trust in
yourself to have the ability to make change that defies the odds. We
practice this with our magick all the time. The power comes from
within.
I'm not askin' for pity, I just wanted to share this with my
Pagan Family. I acted today on pure instinct. No adrenaline
involved. I was completely calm afterwards. It is just a reminder to
me, of the power that we have to make change...
Blessed Be, Dusty
