GNNNNNHHHHHH

I must say, 17 is my favourite. The blurriness combined with your usual crisp style is so interesting! I'd love to see this idea explored more!

Also have you made a tutorial recently because that's something I would be VERY interested in?

Thank you! :D I'm excited to explore this sort of softer look contrasted with what I normally do... this batch was a lot of fun!

As far as tutorials go, I made some for Ask the Maker, but if you'd like any specifics you should let me know!

I'd like to know more about your sharpening processes if possible. I've just changed screens and now all of my own work looks really crunchy but yours looked perfect before and is equally as perfect now

and do you have any tips for blocking and blending with multiple images because you are undeniably the best at that with stuff like this

99.9% of the time, my process is: duplicating the base layer, sharpening that layer with the standard Sharpen filter, then changing the opacity of the layer until the image looks crisp, but not overdone! Sometimes I won't sharpen anything until the very end, or I'll use the Sharpening tool sparingly in specific places. But that's it!

For blocking, the only thing I can tell you is experiment! Half of what ends up on my icons is there by complete accident because I pulled in an image, or rotated a shape the wrong way. And masks, of course, are maybe my favorite thing about Photoshop. Play around with different (default) brushes on the mask, don't use just black (many people forget you can use grays on masks to have only a certain percentage of transparency), and just mess about. :)

SO gorgeous! I'm saving several, including all of the Lestrades, and that beautiful John #76. Will credit. Many thanks!

I don't know whether to love you for these, or hate you because you always inspire me to make icons, then they are never a fraction as pretty as yours. I'm coming down heavily on the side of loving you, though, because these are just so gorgeous. Your close crops, your soft, clean colours, the emotion in them! Gorgeous!!! I'm saving most of them!

Oh wow, thank you so, so much! I don't know where to start, you are much too kind!! ♥ But I'm glad you like them, I really enjoyed putting this little batch together.

lol the lj cuts are horrible indeed and unnecessary. I wish you can share how you worked around it. on my layout it shows both your hack and the default cut for some reason. anyway great set (as usual)! I think even some of the eps themselves are stellar, visually they're still awesome! and you just made them even better. :)

omg SO BAD RIGHT. I added a display: none to a new class I made for the lj-cut links. Then added a post privately, used the entry ID to make a cut, and went back into the entry to create a false link, then posted it publicly. It was WAY too much work but ugh I just couldn't stand those stupid little scissors. Also omgggggg THANK YOU MY BEAUTIFUL TROPIC FISH ♥

...Can you believe we're going to see Cate hahahahaha oh MY GOD
