So HUM are one of those legendary bands who make brilliant records, get dropped from a label or disband prematurely and retain a rabid and tiny fanbase that proseletize about them to whomever is prepared to listen. HUM are an example of that rabid cult following being right.

I know! I couldn't help feeling, when I first checked it out that someone had finally plugged something of a gaping hole in supply.

My advice is to keep a window open with Allmusic because often the songs are in the wrong order/duplicated in album lists. If you hover over the song you'll get a little 'add to playlist' icon - you just need to add them in album order and your playlist is the album!

Grooveshark? I presume it's grooveshark because I don't think Hum are exactly your type of band (and I presume you've heard of them already).

Oh cool! Yeah somehow the flat voice and the gauzy guitar makes what are essentially nice rock songs special, y'know?

I don't think that is bad at all! I actually 'have' a copy of Downwards is Heavenwards these days, through 'means'. You know what I miss? I miss Todd's audiophile discussions and actually I miss Sparta board in general.
