Grand Total Fandoms: 4, counting all the related MCU fans as one and all the X-Men fandoms as one.
Grand Total Stories: 46
Grand Total Word Count: My personal spreadsheet says 101360, AO3's are off because a VM story was included when it shouldn't.
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
I had wanted to write the same as in 2013 (which was 200K) but that didn't happen by a long shot.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
I never imagined that I'd write an Arrow story, even if it was a crossover. Even though I love the show, it's not something I thought I'd be fannish about in that way.
What's your own favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
distractions as a whole series was so refreshing to write, in the way that getting back to het pairs can bring.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
Nothing this year was an odd POV or writing style, but I suppose I did try to do more with one universe by expanding a small one-shot into my Big Bang.
My best story of this year:
I really love
lightning and thunder, though it's sad and still powerful.
My most popular story of this year:
The Accidental Marriage and by extension,
Steal Your Heart.
Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
real of imagined Most fun story to write:
Not Another Dick Fic (Th Nagging Remix) Story with the single sexiest moment:
never satisfied Story with the single sweetest moment:
Take Him By the Hand (The Understanding Remix) Most "Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story:
never satisfied - I think anything that stems from the original story will always win this category.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
more than words, because it brought out a whole new idea of what Charles could be.
Hardest story to write:
Steal Your Heart - the story was just difficult. There's a reason why it's only half the original idea for the BB and maybe some of why that other half hasn't been finished yet. UGH!
Biggest Disappointment:
distractions - not in the sense that I didn't enjoy writing them, but that because it's rule 63, people didn't read it as much.
Biggest Surprise:
House Rules and How to Break 'Em, because it was a silly tumblr ficlet form chat that was very popular without me knowing why.
Most Unintentionally Telling Story:
could you believe yourself? perhaps because of how we can find things we wanted as younger people that now make us all sick. Sometimes that comes up more than I'd want to admit, in different ways than in that fic.
Plans for the next year:
Those two big stories from last year are still not finished. The second half of Big Bang still isn't finished. So finishing those would be nice. Great even.
