2015 fic in review

Grand Total Fandoms: 6, counting all the related MCU fans as one and all the X-Men fandoms as one.
Grand Total Stories: 33
Grand Total Word Count: My personal spreadsheet says 68191.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
I had wanted to write the same as in 2014, but that didn't happen. It wasn't too far off, but not what I had planned either.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
iZombie and Thrilling Adventure Hour stuff, both of which I did as pinch hits in challenges.

What's your own favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
Altered Spaces is a haunting story, but I think it speaks to where I want my writing to go - more lyric in ways that my regular stuff isn't.

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
I did quick fics in unfamiliar fandoms for my writing, which is always a risk. I think I learned I can push myself more in terms of smaller shows/movies I watch but don't feel too fannish about.

My best story of this year:
the coldest calm falls through molten veins

My most popular story of this year:
From Argentina With Love, mostly because it's an OT3 rather than OTP fic.

Most fun story to write:
Cocktail Politics and Obscure Details

Story with the single sexiest moment:
into dust

Most "Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story:
if I show you than I know you

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
A Vast Ravine

Hardest story to write:
Everything Hits at Once

Biggest Disappointment:
I think all of my RBBs fell a bit flat - not that I didn't like them, but I don't think they were on fandom's list of things to read.

Biggest Surprise:
Brought to You By Professor Smut (The Real Person Fiction Mix) just in the way it was told and how much it make people smile.

Most Unintentionally Telling Story:
The Question in the Quest maybe, but I don't think anything this year was all about me.

Plans for the next year:
Finally get that second half of that Big Bang from 2013 posted. Hope that X-Men: Apocalypse is good so that fandom is productive in positive ways.
