Random poetry moment.

I don't often write poems, because I don't think I'm very good at it. But this one's at least decent enough to show to another living soul. Cut for length (not that the poem's long, just the format).

Hail, Nymph!
With asphodel crowned
And butterfly eyes.

Pinned, pierced, and mounted
You pray for the soul of the entomologist.

With pity like ipecac
slick sticky sickly syrupy sweet

Slants through the afternoon window
Unaccountable light
And lazy fleas of dust
Rising and falling with breath

Rue is for remembrance
Bitter visions that linger on steel and bone
And frost the perfect pink of a sunken cheek

Nymph,
There is a moment between sound
And glittering fall.
O
pen
the
win
dow
and scream.

I think it's considered inadvisable to chop up sentences as I did in the last line, but I wanted to draw out the timing, and ellipses are even worse.
Suggestions welcome.
