To Whom it May Concern,

Please excuse Miss Boxmint from cause and effect today, as she is not feeling well.

Sincerely,
Someone Important.

so for you, we draft an early birthday card:

Aw. Best birthday present ever.

Hey--I've got good news! Great news! News that will involve relocation to my once, future, and always hometown. But I'm loathe to specify it until all the papers are papered, or whatever else they need to be.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(breathless with hope and excitement)

I've lost your phone number. Also I'm in the office. Otherwise there would be a ringing in your ears right this minute that wouldn't be no tintinnitus. May your papers be papered.

(Oh, speaking of which, I have a fantastic compliment for you on your trunk stories piece. Tell you when I talk to you next.)
