i love the garden state soundtrack, but you're right, definitely not productive. can i come join you in apathy? it's what i've been doing here anyway. but you can do it! just think how few days are left, it's good. or at least that's what i keep telling myself so i keep going to class. and i only have 2 left until finals, so i spose it's working. good luck my dear.
Miles has a point. Apathy always feels a little dirty to me, and not in the good way. Like it's beauty is a little heavy, a curtian. it's just an excuse to not be responsible.
True beauty is going out in the cold, feeling your cheeks burn but seeing an amazing sunset. A little pain, a little pleasure. Or finishing something you've been working really hard on and having it come out just right. Those are amazing kinds of beauty. Because not only are they beautiful - you worked for them and therefore you deserve them.
Not to make you feel bad, everyone has blah days, I do to. A lot. Get up and do something beautiful, make yourself some pretty food, put on a little makeup, meditate for 20 minutes, take a walk and LOOK AROUND, then let that beautiful energy flow through you and help you start on your next task.

If life's not beautiful with out the pain - would you really rather never even see beauty again? Apathy isn't all its cracked up to be.
