Sorry. I didn't think it'd matter to you. The cops have been called in, but if they're what he's running from, they won't find him. Then again, he's probably running from me too. I don't know. Aren't private detectives expensive?

I started downtown and I'm working my way outwards. I haven't done your neighborhood yet, if you wanted to look around there. He could be pretty much anywhere there's decent shelter, assuming he's still in town (the cops think he is, I dunno).

Okay. I printed out the picture and took it around to the neighbors -- we don't have many -- so they'd know what he looks like. Especially the McCann brothers since they only just moved here. There might be some shacks out in the woods outside of town. I wouldn't even know about that except someone torched one a few nights ago.

So you know, in case you come out this way yourself, we've got a wolf roaming the woods by the Masterson farm. Fish and Game is working on catching it, and I saw it myself last night. They think there's just one and that it's probably a dump-off by someone who tried to keep it as a pet. But I want you to be aware it's there if you come out this way.

I did a little sweep through the woods after my chores tonight, but didn't see any signs of a person. I have a thought, though. The Mastersons' dog, Brutus, turned out to be really good at search-and-rescue after the avalanche. Do you have anything with his scent on it?

The dog sounds like a great idea. All I have is his guitar, but his foster parents have a bunch of his stuff. I could go get some things and get back to you?

He is a sweet kid, he just didn't wanna go back to Sweden. I'm hoping to find him before the cops do, 'cause as pissed as he is at me I don't think I'm what he's running from.

I dunno, I'm looking every chance I get. Anywhere out of the way with decent shelter, he could be hiding. If you've got the time, I can always use an extra set of eyes.
