still so young, desperate for attention [Harry/Julian]

Feb 05, 2007 09:47

Ah Sunday, glorious Sunday. The one day Lawrence takes off entirely, and this morning he is up to no good. Isak was still soundly asleep when he got out of bed, and the rest of the house betrayed no immediate signs of life, either - a little unusual, perhaps, but perfect for his evil plans ( Read more... )

Unfortunately for Lawr, it is not Harry that stirs under the mound of blankets. At least, not first.

The sensation of someone crawling up the bed - basically up his body - had Julian rolling onto his back with a small smile and tugging the blankets down to a spot that when he opened his eyes he could see -

Not Harry. At all.

His eyes go from contented half open to too wide in about half a second. He doesn't screech. He is aware, now, of Harry's presence next to him in the bed.

He feels the movement beside him and grins. Breakfast in bed? Moments that are better than breakfast? Murring softly, Harry rolled over and reached for Julian.

And found himself facing two lovers.

"Oh. Uhmmm, hi."

The first stirring of blankets prompts a mischievous grin out of Lawrence. He's all ready to pounce on Harry and snog him to death - but those eyes are very much not Harry's. Uh.

He stares at both of them, but doesn't backpedal. After all, he... sorta has a right to be here. Not so much on top of Julian, but.

"Hi. ... Your bed is a very busy place." Goodbye, brain-to-mouth filter.

Statistically, it was going to happen sooner or later.

That doesn't help much.

Julian looks from the boy (Lawrence? It has to be Lawrence) to Harry and back again.
He fails to find anything to say so he gives Harry a pleading look.

Lawrence is, in fact, arguing with the coffee pot. Mostly in the form of mumbles and expletives, with the occasional "No, bad coffee pot" thrown in. Boy is not technologically inclined, nor is he able to cook; the combination does not bode well for kitchen appliances. He hasn't bothered to throw on any more clothes, as wandering around in his boxers is a higher level of formality than usual anyway, though it is mostly for Isak's benefit.

Julian walks in wearing his pants and shirt, with said shirt not yet done up.

"I can do that, Lawrence, if you want." Julian is the frequent source of coffee in the morning, even if he'd not in the kitchen when Lawrence comes through.

"I just wanted to say, Harry and I aren't dating or anything. It's not like that. We're friends. Close friends, but just friends who have sex. I don't want to get between you and him." His voice is getting quieter. "But I'm not leaving. Not until Harry wants me gone. I'm sorry."

Lawrence tenses up immediately, but he does let Julian handle the coffee, and the talking for a bit. Ah, distinctions, how the boy misunderstands thee.

"It's nothing to apologize for." Pause. Yeah, he really shouldn't just leave it at that. "I mean, it's not like I'm dating him either, and I certainly don't have a say in who he fucks around with." He shrugs. "Who knows, maybe you'll be good for him." Yeah, right, and that positive attitude is why Lawrence is dealing with all this oh-so-healthily and clamming up like Fort Knox.

"I- know you don't like me. I don't blame you. But I really don't want to cause any troubles. Harry's my best friend. I'd do virtually anything for him. You make him happy, and I'd never want to see that go sour because of my presence. I don't want to make you uncomfortable in your home either."

Julian makes the coffee quickly and efficiently. He knows how to use the machine.

"I don't know how to make it work. I'm, not sure exactly why you don't like me, though I have some ideas. Is there anything I can do to make you more comfortable with my presence?"
