I love the address bar, or at least I did, after I worked with it long enough to figure out what the hell it was doing.

First, get used to the idea of not typing urls, at least not for sites you've been to before. Firefox remembers the url and the title, so tomorrow, if I wanted to go to your livejournal, I would just type "boy" in the url. There's an excellent chance that I would be able to hit the down arrow to highlight your url, and hit enter. And what's better, it remembers how frequently you use which url. Example: I've got a server on my network that hosts multiple sites. I just type the beginning of that server's name, and the sites show up in the order of frequency by which I visit that page.

There's also an about.config string to make it google any string you type, if it's not obviously a URL or a previously visited url. I can find it for you if you're interested.

I can't even have firefox 3 on my desktop. My myspace player and embedded youtube videos wont play. I tried everything too.

I just stick with Firefox 2 and I'm a happy camper.
