Yahoo reports that 'Obama wins Georgia primary' but fails to report what the estimated proportion of votes he received is.

"The 87 delegates at stake in Georgia's primary were divided between the two candidates in rough proportion to the votes."

Given that statement, wouldn't the margin of victory be somewhat more important to report than who 'won ( Read more... )

the media does report this stuff in a silly way. i think the real problem is that the republicrates and the demicans have different rules and the dems rules are more complicated (go figure...). all the party delegate rules are state by state and there is no federal oversight so from the media's perspective trying to explain the different rules for each party in each state just doesn't seem very feasible in the amount of time or space they get to explain it. the whole process is very complicated and frustrating. I think CNN.com's Election coverage is pretty good - at least as far as figuring all this out, goes. That's what I've been using to keep track this year.
