While I'd love to come, I'm afraid that I hate flying at the best of times, and I don't think we can afford it :-( I hope you both have a wonderful day! :-D

I won't be able to afford to get to Minneapolis, but I'd love to see you (& meet Alicia!) in Manchester :-)
...though if it's just me & a load of people I don't know (except for you) I won't stay very long ;-p

yeah, but you wouldn't want to waste pretty invitations on people who aren't going to come ...think of it as a filter ;-)

not at all, the pretty invitations must be ordered in bulk and literally half the people we'd want there can't come anyway. so...the invitations in those cases are more like thinking-of-you cards. =) it's the thought that counts and all.
