Hello Quarterlife, Goodbye Crisis

Jun 11, 2007 20:02

One of my favorite expressions over the past couple of years was in search of sunrise - because it seems like I spent most of my twenties waiting for it.  I've graduated, gone back to school, got a job, became a bum, fallen out of relationships, fallen into relationships, changed plans and switched priorities.  Sometimes I think I've even ( Read more... )

Yes, time to grow up, friend, and get on with your life. WTF does the bulls expression mean? Haha.

I suppose I'm guilty of 4. Or at least I try.

You give yourself too much credit on 4. The kicking my ass part is dedicated to you though.

9 is about markets and risk aversion applied to life in general.

OMG you're still a comment-whore after all this time (and i thought that was a manifestation of the quarter-life crisis)!!!

love the insights, and i'd like to think i'd have realized them too if i were lucid enough because i agree with most everything; on second thought, nah. i'll leave you to philosophize, rationalize, package, commercialize, and eventually sell your realizations :D

1. Sometimes the only way to succeed is to quit.
--something i learned the HARD way. darnit.

4. When someone consistently makes you feel bad about yourself, it's not a coincidence.
--HAHAHAHAHA

7. Most people can't distinguish between aimlessness and figuring things out.
-- >:)

a toast to your emerging from your QLC (or is that, 1/4LC?). because now that i'm getting a breather from all the quarter-life crises i've been having, i personally think it's all overrated, and am considering retiring from it soon. :)

I wish you good luck on finding your early retirement from QLC. In the meantime though enjoy the ride.

And no, being a comment-whore is all me. Haha.

You're over it? Bah. I'm a loser. I'm too clumsy and careless not to end up with a crisis. Can I just say, #1 is why I somewhat happily quit debate. Number 2 is why I don't judge (oops, I'm being a hypocrite). The last item is why I'm overstaying in college for a sem. :P

So wise one, is #4 a good thing or a bad thing? :P

I don't judge either. I'm sure masochists being made to feel like the lowest worms in the earth. ;) We all have our tolerances.

2. Being judgmental is the surest way of being a hypocrite

is probably the most universally applicable. a crap ton of stuck up people can learn from this
