I have spent most of today curled up like a cat. A friend of mine visited from Hammersmith, a posh lad who takes many trips to Dreaded America. Thank you for the link to the Sexton poem. She's one of those poets who has always been on my list to check out, but, like you from the sound of it, I find it hard to just wade through an entire volume of poetry; it's always easier to be handed a particular poem someone else finds representative or intriguing. I posted one in my journal last fall that I find glorious and sad, Dirge by Kenneth Fearing. I'd be interested to know what you think of it.

I'm Rick, guitarist/songwriter for the emerging New York band Visible From Space. I hope you don't mind that I've added you. I enjoy your music.

Cowboy hats are indeed fantastic. Although the Southern accents are interesting at first it gets tiring after about a day.

Thanks for the link to Anne Sexton. It's a really pretty poem. It's nice to find one poem that you like, but it is tedious to have to sift through a lot of them to find it.
