What form will your character's NV take? A small oval device, about the size of a woman's watch, made of a metal alloy that resembles burnished copper with another dark-colored but reflective material in an indent in the center. It can withstand the use of Xavin's powers, including heat, fire, and great force. Also, water-resistant, but that's a side effect. The band is the same material as Xavin's jumpsuit, so it can stretch and move with hir powers as well. Usually worn as a a watch, but Xavin could also wear it as a choker, or even a belt. A touch will activate the holographic touch screen, and Xavin can change the size from about iphone screen to desktop screen size. Different functions can be accessed through twisting the base or the touch screen, and the opacity of the screen adjusted to better see video.
Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: Xavin is a Skrull, a race of aliens with extensive shapeshifting abilities. They can shapeshift with great rapidity and skill, many being able to impersonate others, or even objects, with great accuracy. They have a tendency to shift to adapt to situations. Xavin has this ability like all Skrulls and is adept at using it. Xavin has several forms that Xavin switches back and forth between as defaults. Xavin's original birth form is a male skrull, and Xavin also assumes the form of a black teenage human. Due to Karolina's influence Xavin also has a female human form, and will occasionally revert to that under stress. Lastly, Xavin has adopted the form of a female Skrull too. These are not limits in the least, but rather the forms Xavin is most comfortable with. Xavin is also able to partially shift, such as turning limbs into blades and clubs or growing wings--though hir other powers tend to make these applications less useful. Xavin, like most Skrulls, cannot change hir mass, and thus has some limits on size changes.
In addition, Xavin is also a Super Skrull in training and has the powers of the Fantastic Four. These powers include:
Psionic Shields-- capable of deflecting energy and physical attacks. They can also be used as platforms and enclosures.
Invisibility--what it says on the tin
Pyrokenisis--Xavin can immolate hirself in flame and create and control flame bursts. Zie uses this to fly.
Super Strength and Durability--...also what it says on the tin. Zie can lift and withstand several tons
Plasticity and Elongation: Xavin can stretch and bend hir limbs and body like rubber bands. There is a limit to the stretching, beyond which zie loses motor control until zie can shrink back to within the limit.
Xavin originally could only control one ability (outside shapeshifting) at a time, but is continually progressing and recently has been able to combine two to three abilities for short bursts. Character History:
When Xavin was an infant, 15 years before the start of Runaways canon, hir parents tried to invade Earth. They were stopped by the Deans, Majesdanian criminals exiled from their homeworld, and an agreement was made. The Skrulls would cease their invasion in return for the coordinates for the hidden Majesdanian homeworld. In addition the two families arranged a marriage for their children--Xavin and Karolina.
Fifteen years later, Karolina and her friends discovered that their parents were evil and ran away. Eventually they stopped their parents from destroying the world and then ran away again from foster care to be together, and to fight crime. Karolina decided to come out as a lesbian to her friend that she'd had a crush on and was rejected, only to have Xavin arrive a few moments later. Xavin appeared in the form of a male human and boldly announced that zie'd come for hir fiancee, who zie'd been waiting for for a long time. Karolina, naturally, was not pleased and they ended up getting into a fight, with Xavin chasing the group. Eventually, Xavin asked to talk and explained that hir parents were dead and zie was one of the teenagers who'd grown up during the war that wanted to end it peacefully--and that zie thought marriage between hir and Karolina would be the key to forging that peace.
Karolina was conflicted, but eventually admitted that she didn't want to marry Xavin because zie was male, which triggered Xavin to shift to a female form with the comment that "changing gender is like changing hair color." Xavin did, however, say that the marriage would be Karolina's choice and only if she really wanted it, but invited her to come and see her own people and get to know hir while making the decision. Karolina agreed and they left to visit Karolina's home planet.
Several months passed, and Xavin and Karolina fell in love as they worked to create peace for their peoples. Unfortunately, at the wedding one of the Skrull guests insulted the Majesdanians and a fight broke out. It escalated to the point that both the Majesdanian homeworld and the Skrull outpost were destroyed, with Xavin and Karolina fleeing to Earth in the nick of time.
They arrived and met up with Karolina's friends just in time to join the rescue effort for Molly, the youngest member of the group and someone Xavin was already fond of, in spite of their brief interaction. Xavin wished to help, and secretly impersonated Nico in order to distract Molly's kidnapper. It almost went off without a hitch but a sonic device set Xavin's powers out of hir control and started a fire. In a series of unfortunate events, one of the group, Gert, was killed by the kidnapper inside the burning building. While Karolina and the others mourned, Xavin was unable to join in, not having known the Gert well. However, after talking with Karolina, Xavin did agree that Earth was hir home now and that zie would try to become the diplomat zie wished to be.
Xavin had difficulties getting over hir cultural biases, such as a disdain for robots and cyborgs and hir impulse to try to lead and charge recklessly into battle. Zie got on the others' nerves but slowly becomes closer to the group, especially Molly, who aside from Karolina was the only one to routinely call Xavin female.
During the Heroes' Civil War, where superpowered people were forced to register themselves or be imprisoned, the Runaways became fugitives and eventually teamed up with the Young Avengers. Xavin discovered that Hulkling--Teddy Altman-- was half-Skrull and the Prince and prophesied savior of hir empire and the two came to heads over Hulkling's decision to stay on Earth. However after being captured and experimented on, they bonded over their love for Earth natives and making it their home.
A very short while later, Molly brought up the fact that the others weren't comfortable with hir and asked why Xavin changed form and gender so often. Xavin explained it as a Skrull thing, adapting to situations, but began to doubt hirself. Zie attempted to take on a more pleasing form--that of Karolina's crush--but was rebuffed. Karolina comforted hir in hir doubts and they reaffirm their relationship.
However, at the same time the others were still reeling from the recent death, and Chase, Gert's boyfriend, tried to sacrifice himself to revive her. In the conflict over his action, Xavin and the others came to a better understanding of each other and themselves and Molly said that no matter what hir form, Xavin was her sister. Unfortunately, they were found by the government and forced to flee to New York.
While in New York, they made a deal with the devil, in the form of the crime boss Kingpin. In order to obtain protection and a place to hide, they agreed to steal an artifact, but attacks from all quarters forced them to flee and they eventually ended up in 1907. Xavin was very worried about changing the future by being in the past, but the others wanted to enjoy the time period, at least until they discovered the less pleasant side of the very early 20th century, like the lack of labor laws and child brides. Xavin assumed the form of a middle-aged white man during most of this misadventure but during an argument with Karolina, reverted to female without realizing it. In their attempts to get home, they ran across Gert's time-traveling parents and started a mini-war between the super-powered contingents of 1907. A bomb was nearly set off, but Karolina and Xavin were able to combine their powers to save everyone. Shortly after, they were able to return home with a new recruit from the time period in tow.
Immediately after arriving back in the present, they witnessed the final stages of a Skrull invasion. Xavin, worried for hir friends, knocked them out as a diversion and attempted to get them away from the battle, so zie could stay behind and fight the invaders. Not everyone stayed unconscious but Xavin was able to convince Nico to run. While fighting, Xavin came across Teddy being attacked and sought to save him. They argued over Xavin's continuing belief that Teddy was a prophesied savior while they fled but eventually they were cornered and it was revealed that the Skrull invaders had also captured Xavin's friends. The teenagers banded together to fight their attackers and Xavin ended up facing off against hir teacher, who Xavin admitted was a far better fighter than zie. However, with Karolina's help they were able to infuriate Xavin's teacher enough that he decided to "go nova" to kill them all. Xavin surrounded him with hir psionic shields and he laughed, saying that Xavin wasn't even strong enough to use all hir abilities in tandem. That proved to be a salvation though, as it had made Xavin's individual abilities far stronger, and allowed Xavin to contain the blast, saving them all and killing hir teacher.
Once home and no longer able to stay in New York, the group headed back to California and took over a safe house formerly owned by their parents. Almost as soon as they arrived, they were attacked by a group of Majesdanians that wanted to capture and arrest Karolina for the destruction of their homeworld. The group fought and thanks to the spell "Scatter" were able to send the attackers away, but their own goals became scattered as well because of the spell. The group members drifted apart, while holding one of the Majesdanians captive. They discovered what exactly had happened to the worlds and why Karolina was wanted. Xavin openly admitted to being a Skrull, and appeared in a female Skrull form to the Majesdanian's disgust. Unfortunately their scatteredness allowed the Majesdanian to escape and rejoin his comrades to attack again.
On the bright side, the spell was broken and the group was able to pull together in time to fight the Majesdanians. After a brief interlude where they joined forces to save a news chopper from crashing they met and finally agreed to talk. Karolina showed up without Xavin and turned herself over, offering a heartfelt goodbye to everyone.
Only after the Majesdanians had left was it revealed that "Karolina" had been Xavin, seeking to save hir girlfriend and make amends for the war. Before incapacitating the real Karolina, Xavin shared her hopes of finally creating peace between the two species and they shared a goodbye kiss. On the Majesdanian ship, Xavin clutched a compass given to hir by Molly and looked back on Earth as zie headed toward an unknown and dangerous fate.

Majesdanians had recently arrived, looking to capture Xavin's girlfriend Karolina and bring her back to be tried for crimes, namely the destruction of their world due to the fallout of Xavin and Karolina's wedding disaster. The group fought them, and a spell that was pulling them apart, but the Majesdanians weren't giving up so Xavin shape-shifted into Karolina and knocked her out before going with the Majesdanians in disguise to take the punishments meant for Karolina and in hopes of finally brokering a true peace between the remaining Skrulls and Majesdanians.

Character Personality:
Because Xavin was raised in a vastly different culture, Xavin has many views that seem strange to the humans in hir canon. The most basic fact of Skrull culture is that they have been at war for millennia, with both the Kree and many other species, such as Majesdanians. They place the most value on military strength and fighting skills and prowess. Xavin is a product of that and tends to be war-like and think of things in military terms. Zie greatly values strength and power in others, even if zie does not approve of their methods or affiliation. In spite of that upbringing, Xavin has come to want to become a diplomat and seek peace. The brutal war between the Skrulls and Majesdane convinced hir that war was not the solution. This creates a conflict in Xavin and zie struggles with hir upbringing verses hir new resolve on occasion. Even with hir resolve for peace, Xavin is the quickest of the group to resort to violence in many cases, and the first to express pleasure at strong opponents when they have to fight. Zie is proud of hir skills and in most cases absolutely hates to back down and run. The most notable exception was when the group was present in New York for the Skrull invasion. Xavin, aware of who the Skrulls were and terrified for hir friend's lives, was pressing upon them to run while zie tried to buy time.
Xavin's tendency to be quick to fight leads to rash decisions and that can get hir into trouble. Zie is also not as experienced because of hir age and this can lead to mistakes or underestimating hir enemies. Xavin's strategies are generally sound, but zie isn't the most creative person and zie can be defeated by creative or unexpected strategy, both in warfare and in other circumstances.
Another facet of Skrull culture is that all but every Skrull is a shapeshifter. This has led to their culture taking the skill for granted. For example, Xavin sees no issue with changing hir gender to suit hir lover's wants and desires, but also has no problems switching back and forth as the "circumstances" require. When confronted with the idea that assuming a male form in order to be more intimidating during a tense negotiation was sexist, Xavin was genuinely confused. Xavin confided in Molly that changing hir form was like changing hir clothes--natural and not even worth thinking about--but this brought about clashes with the other humans and Xavin began to doubt hirself. Zie wasn't sure who zie really was as a person and doubted that zie was good enough for Karolina.
Since the discussion with Molly, however, Xavin has been able to become more familiar with the concept of "girl power" and is more and more comfortable with the idea of fighting in female form. Zie does not always fight in female form, but it has become more common as time has passed, showing that zie is acclimating to Earth culture and learning not to disturb hir friends with shifting too often. This change signifies that zie is also becoming more confident in hir own abilities and identity, and that zie doesn't feel as much need for things like intimidation or changing to suit the environment.
Another change Xavin made, was beginning to overcome hir extreme prejudice against robots and cyborgs. When zie originally met the group zie referred to the cyborg as a "toy" and they continued to be antagonistic for a long time. The prejudice hasn't completely been conquered but Xavin has gotten better about it and learned to respect hir cyborg teammate.
But while Xavin is learning to acclimate, zie is still not perfect at understanding humans. They still baffle hir and zie often expresses confusion, or accidentally insults someone. Zie still has the tendency to assume that the way Skrulls do things is better sometimes, and this gets hir in trouble.
In addition to traits strongly influenced by culture Xavin has a base personality. Zie is described by the others as always thinking of them first. Xavin is very caring, and it is one facet of hir attempts to change to please others. Hir first thought when hir friends are in danger is to seek their protection and safety, and zie takes Karolina's place and punishment without hesitation so Karolina can be free and safe. Xavin is group oriented, and firmly believes that if the good of the group (whether her friends, Skrulls, or even humans/earth) should come before the individual. Because of this, Xavin occasionally clashes with hir friends, and especially with Teddy/Hulkling, because zie believes Teddy should take his "rightful" place as leader of the Skrulls and Teddy disagrees.
Lastly, Xavin has a strong honor-code and sense of duty, in addition to a good dose of pride and teenage recklessness. All in all, zie is still very much a teenager still learning hir place in the world and hir own limits, but hir heart is in the right place.

Character Plans: To follow Teddy around like a puppy--just kidding. Xavin probably will stick close to the Marvel folks, as zie knows or knows of most of them. Because Xavin is trying to become a diplomat, zie will not approve of either AGI or SERO and if zie can't succeed in working towards peace, zie is very likely to get involved in fighting in a resistance of some kind.

Citizens of Siren's Port, I wish to discuss the Core. Having seen war for myself, I can understand why we would all want to avoid fighting, but this inaction will not benefit anyone. This stalling must be put to an end. Are we really expected to believe that an obstacle as simple and easy to contain as mere radiation is stopping the study and utilization of the Core to return us home?
[Zie leans forward.] Let's be frank; the true reason for the delay is the two companies. While they waste time vying over who controls the Core, none of us receive any benefit! I propose a negotiation to end this conflict once and for all. The "Newcomers" will provide the perfect pool of candidates for neutral mediators to bring this to a peaceful solution. Now, who will stand with me?
Third Person Sample
Everything hurt. Xavin could barely breathe, and hir powers were threatening hir control. The gravitational forces seemed like they were spinning around a point, or several points, even though zie was taking pains to remain carefully still. It made hir feel sick, and desperate for some relief zie tried to shift out of Karolina's form.
Hir body rebelled and Xavin was caught in between, a low groan escaping hir. The dizziness and nausea were too much and black was creeping into hir vision.
The light wasn't as bright when Xavin woke again, a small blessing. Zie was able to move without being overwhelmed and concentrated first on shifting to a stable form. There was Earth-grass beneath her head and symbols zie identified as English scrawled on a nearby wall. How zie had been transported away from the Majesdanian's ship, zie didn't know, but Xavin was suddenly struck by worry for Karolina. Zie needed to get up, now, and make sure this unexpected event hadn't threatened Karolina or hir friends.
Getting up took more effort than zie was used to and it felt like hir limbs had been replaced by rubber. Zie laughed a little at the absurd thought; with the power of elasticity zie could really turn hir limbs to "rubber" and it felt nothing like this. What a strange phrase zie'd picked up!
But there was no point in wasting any more time. First Xavin had to discover which part of Earth zie had been whisked to and then zie had to get back to Malibu and make sure hir friends weren't in danger. It spurred hir on and zie barely noticed the human striding across the field--baseball, zie thought, remembering the sports channel--until the human shouted a greeting and something about getting inside before it got dark.
Did Xavin look so weak and helpless to the human? Zie sneered, "I am not a hatchling and afraid of the dark--"
That was when the sirens went off, making hir hold hir head in pain. The human was nearly burned when hir powers flared out of hir control, and the light of the flames let Xavin see what was suddenly gathered around them. Oh. That was more than the usual amount of terrible monsters. Maybe there was wisdom in getting inside...

Immediately after arriving back in the present, they witnessed the final stages of a Skrull invasion. Xavin, worried for hir friends, knocked them out as a diversion and attempted to get them away from the battle, so zie could stay behind and fight the invaders. Not everyone stayed unconscious but Xavin was able to convince Nico to run. While fighting, Xavin came across Teddy being attacked and sought to save him. They argued over Xavin's continuing belief that Teddy was a prophesied savior while they fled but eventually they were cornered and it was revealed that the Skrull invaders had also captured Xavin's friends. The teenagers banded together to fight their attackers and Xavin ended up facing off against hir teacher, who Xavin admitted was a far better fighter than zie. However, with Karolina's help they were able to infuriate Xavin's teacher enough that he decided to "go nova" to kill them all. Xavin surrounded him with hir psionic shields and he laughed, saying that Xavin wasn't even strong enough to use all hir abilities in tandem. That proved to be a salvation though, as it had made Xavin's individual abilities far stronger, and allowed Xavin to contain the blast, saving them all and killing hir teacher.
Once home and no longer able to stay in New York, the group headed back to California and took over a safe house formerly owned by their parents. Almost as soon as they arrived, they were attacked by a group of Majesdanians that wanted to capture and arrest Karolina for the destruction of their homeworld. The group fought and thanks to the spell "Scatter" were able to send the attackers away, but their own goals became scattered as well because of the spell. The group members drifted apart, while holding one of the Majesdanians captive. They discovered what exactly had happened to the worlds and why Karolina was wanted. Xavin openly admitted to being a Skrull, and appeared in a female Skrull form to the Majesdanian's disgust. Unfortunately their scatteredness allowed the Majesdanian to escape and rejoin his comrades to attack again.
On the bright side, the spell was broken and the group was able to pull together in time to fight the Majesdanians. After a brief interlude where they joined forces to save a news chopper from crashing they met and finally agreed to talk. Karolina showed up without Xavin and turned herself over, offering a heartfelt goodbye to everyone.
Only after the Majesdanians had left was it revealed that "Karolina" had been Xavin, seeking to save hir girlfriend and make amends for the war. Before incapacitating the real Karolina, Xavin shared her hopes of finally creating peace between the two species and they shared a goodbye kiss. On the Majesdanian ship, Xavin clutched a compass given to hir by Molly and looked back on Earth as zie headed toward an unknown and dangerous fate.

Majesdanians had recently arrived, looking to capture Xavin's girlfriend Karolina and bring her back to be tried for crimes, namely the destruction of their world due to the fallout of Xavin and Karolina's wedding disaster. The group fought them, and a spell that was pulling them apart, but the Majesdanians weren't giving up so Xavin shape-shifted into Karolina and knocked her out before going with the Majesdanians in disguise to take the punishments meant for Karolina and in hopes of finally brokering a true peace between the remaining Skrulls and Majesdanians.

Character Personality:
Because Xavin was raised in a vastly different culture, Xavin has many views that seem strange to the humans in hir canon. The most basic fact of Skrull culture is that they have been at war for millennia, with both the Kree and many other species, such as Majesdanians. They place the most value on military strength and fighting skills and prowess. Xavin is a product of that and tends to be war-like and think of things in military terms. Zie greatly values strength and power in others, even if zie does not approve of their methods or affiliation. In spite of that upbringing, Xavin has come to want to become a diplomat and seek peace. The brutal war between the Skrulls and Majesdane convinced hir that war was not the solution. This creates a conflict in Xavin and zie struggles with hir upbringing verses hir new resolve on occasion. Even with hir resolve for peace, Xavin is the quickest of the group to resort to violence in many cases, and the first to express pleasure at strong opponents when they have to fight. Zie is proud of hir skills and in most cases absolutely hates to back down and run. The most notable exception was when the group was present in New York for the Skrull invasion. Xavin, aware of who the Skrulls were and terrified for hir friend's lives, was pressing upon them to run while zie tried to buy time.
Xavin's tendency to be quick to fight leads to rash decisions and that can get hir into trouble. Zie is also not as experienced because of hir age and this can lead to mistakes or underestimating hir enemies. Xavin's strategies are generally sound, but zie isn't the most creative person and zie can be defeated by creative or unexpected strategy, both in warfare and in other circumstances.
Another facet of Skrull culture is that all but every Skrull is a shapeshifter. This has led to their culture taking the skill for granted. For example, Xavin sees no issue with changing hir gender to suit hir lover's wants and desires, but also has no problems switching back and forth as the "circumstances" require. When confronted with the idea that assuming a male form in order to be more intimidating during a tense negotiation was sexist, Xavin was genuinely confused. Xavin confided in Molly that changing hir form was like changing hir clothes--natural and not even worth thinking about--but this brought about clashes with the other humans and Xavin began to doubt hirself. Zie wasn't sure who zie really was as a person and doubted that zie was good enough for Karolina.
Since the discussion with Molly, however, Xavin has been able to become more familiar with the concept of "girl power" and is more and more comfortable with the idea of fighting in female form. Zie does not always fight in female form, but it has become more common as time has passed, showing that zie is acclimating to Earth culture and learning not to disturb hir friends with shifting too often. This change signifies that zie is also becoming more confident in hir own abilities and identity, and that zie doesn't feel as much need for things like intimidation or changing to suit the environment.
Another change Xavin made, was beginning to overcome hir extreme prejudice against robots and cyborgs. When zie originally met the group zie referred to the cyborg as a "toy" and they continued to be antagonistic for a long time. The prejudice hasn't completely been conquered but Xavin has gotten better about it and learned to respect hir cyborg teammate.
But while Xavin is learning to acclimate, zie is still not perfect at understanding humans. They still baffle hir and zie often expresses confusion, or accidentally insults someone. Zie still has the tendency to assume that the way Skrulls do things is better sometimes, and this gets hir in trouble.
In addition to traits strongly influenced by culture Xavin has a base personality. Zie is described by the others as always thinking of them first. Xavin is very caring, and it is one facet of hir attempts to change to please others. Hir first thought when hir friends are in danger is to seek their protection and safety, and zie takes Karolina's place and punishment without hesitation so Karolina can be free and safe. Xavin is group oriented, and firmly believes that if the good of the group (whether her friends, Skrulls, or even humans/earth) should come before the individual. Because of this, Xavin occasionally clashes with hir friends, and especially with Teddy/Hulkling, because zie believes Teddy should take his "rightful" place as leader of the Skrulls and Teddy disagrees.
Lastly, Xavin has a strong honor-code and sense of duty, in addition to a good dose of pride and teenage recklessness. All in all, zie is still very much a teenager still learning hir place in the world and hir own limits, but hir heart is in the right place.

Character Plans: To follow Teddy around like a puppy--just kidding. Xavin probably will stick close to the Marvel folks, as zie knows or knows of most of them. Because Xavin is trying to become a diplomat, zie will not approve of either AGI or SERO and if zie can't succeed in working towards peace, zie is very likely to get involved in fighting in a resistance of some kind.

Citizens of Siren's Port, I wish to discuss the Core. Having seen war for myself, I can understand why we would all want to avoid fighting, but this inaction will not benefit anyone. This stalling must be put to an end. Are we really expected to believe that an obstacle as simple and easy to contain as mere radiation is stopping the study and utilization of the Core to return us home?
[Zie leans forward.] Let's be frank; the true reason for the delay is the two companies. While they waste time vying over who controls the Core, none of us receive any benefit! I propose a negotiation to end this conflict once and for all. The "Newcomers" will provide the perfect pool of candidates for neutral mediators to bring this to a peaceful solution. Now, who will stand with me?
Third Person Sample
Everything hurt. Xavin could barely breathe, and hir powers were threatening hir control. The gravitational forces seemed like they were spinning around a point, or several points, even though zie was taking pains to remain carefully still. It made hir feel sick, and desperate for some relief zie tried to shift out of Karolina's form.
Hir body rebelled and Xavin was caught in between, a low groan escaping hir. The dizziness and nausea were too much and black was creeping into hir vision.
The light wasn't as bright when Xavin woke again, a small blessing. Zie was able to move without being overwhelmed and concentrated first on shifting to a stable form. There was Earth-grass beneath her head and symbols zie identified as English scrawled on a nearby wall. How zie had been transported away from the Majesdanian's ship, zie didn't know, but Xavin was suddenly struck by worry for Karolina. Zie needed to get up, now, and make sure this unexpected event hadn't threatened Karolina or hir friends.
Getting up took more effort than zie was used to and it felt like hir limbs had been replaced by rubber. Zie laughed a little at the absurd thought; with the power of elasticity zie could really turn hir limbs to "rubber" and it felt nothing like this. What a strange phrase zie'd picked up!
But there was no point in wasting any more time. First Xavin had to discover which part of Earth zie had been whisked to and then zie had to get back to Malibu and make sure hir friends weren't in danger. It spurred hir on and zie barely noticed the human striding across the field--baseball, zie thought, remembering the sports channel--until the human shouted a greeting and something about getting inside before it got dark.
Did Xavin look so weak and helpless to the human? Zie sneered, "I am not a hatchling and afraid of the dark--"
That was when the sirens went off, making hir hold hir head in pain. The human was nearly burned when hir powers flared out of hir control, and the light of the flames let Xavin see what was suddenly gathered around them. Oh. That was more than the usual amount of terrible monsters. Maybe there was wisdom in getting inside...
