Oh, yes. I can absolutely see this happening. I often struggle with my portrayal of Jocelyn, too. It's so easy to write her as a complete bitch, but very few people are that one-dimensional. I like what you did with her in this; people do grow up and mature.

Yeah, the more I wrote, the more I felt sorry for her. I realized that it couldn't have been easy for her to watch helplessly as she lost everything. I wanted to give her a shot at redemption.

Aw, thank you! I really wanted to make it clear that not only is Jocelyn a human being, she's also a teenage girl who is ruled by her emotions and not sure how to deal with everything. While I love a good bitch story, I love human!Jocelyn stories too.
