The obligatory first day of school post...

So, I have a schoolgirl :) It was their first real schoolday today and she seemed to really enjoy it. Their class is quite big 24 kids (the same as mine was some years ago)and there are 5 girls to 19 boys. OMG - I hear you say :) Poor teacher! The school itself is nothing special, old building, little money, but they're trying their best to make it

Part of me wants to say I miss those days, but another part of me thinks, No Way. lol........................

May she enjoy ALL her school years as well as this! I think I liked school up until 7th grade. Then it got difficult!

My oldest starts first grade next week. Somehow his class is 11 boys, 11 girls, and it's a mixed Kindergarten and first with 11 of each. Weird. Here with 22 kids they have a full-time teacher and a teacher's assistant.

I guess the same would count as ideal here (teacher+assistant), but the local government has no extra funds to do that :-(
