Okay, so here's my dilemma. I'm still at work, it's around 6 p.m. and I won't be able to leave until probably close to 7. Ordinarily this isn't a problem. The problem is that I was going to be making strawberry soup for dessert tonight which takes about two and a half hours. A man who cooks? Impossible. The very fabric of the universe might very well be torn asunder with the enormity of this. But then again, maybe not. "Strawberry soup." My mind shudders away from such an idea and is thus oddly comforted. If this is "cooking" then perhaps the universe is actually safe. I mean, strawberry soup...... ewwww.

Haha. That's the first thing I thought when someone first mentioned it to me. I tried some, just to be polite, and was blown away. It was delicious. The term "soup" is a little misleading. "Chilled soup" would be a little bit better, but still not quite right. When we think soup we immediately think of soup stock and broth. We think:

Chicken or beef stock + strawberries = Nastiness incarnate

Therefore, strawberry soup must suck big time. But the main ingredient for this is actually yogurt. That's the "stock" if you will. If you're feeling adventerous here's the recipe below. It is incredibly simple and even an incompetent chef can make this. Hell, even a male can make this ( ... )
